Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of light mechanical systems on vehicles at our Minnesota location. You’ll interact with drivers and customers, performing preventative maintenance and ensuring safe, reliable service.

The role requires physical ability to lift 75+ pounds, work in varying temperatures, and the ability to rotate between day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues such as wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components.
• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Provide preventative maintenance services.
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds in tight spaces.
• Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put safety and customer satisfaction first, following safety policies.
• Work a rotating day/night schedule as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the DOT (paid by Love’s).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues per job scope.
• Assist customers with roadside services to support timely repairs.
• Provide preventative maintenance services to keep vehicles operating smoothly.
• Move, lift 75+ pounds and operate in close quarters as required.
• Maintain safety and compliance with company policies during all tasks.
