Job summary

Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores seeks a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel vehicles in a fast-paced environment. You will interact with customers and drivers from across the region, performing preventative maintenance and fixing wheel-end, electrical, suspension, A/C, or engine components.

Must be able to lift 75+ pounds and work in varying temperatures; rotating day/night shifts and a focus on safety and customer satisfaction are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a diesel technician or automotive technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components.
• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Provide preventative maintenance services.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in close quarters; operate in varying temperatures.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work a rotating schedule that includes day and night shifts.
• Possess ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s).
