Job summary

Recycling Services of Florida is seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic/Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks and equipment. You will perform routine preventive maintenance, pick up parts, and assist with welding and fabrication in a non-climate-controlled shop with occasional weekend/overtime work.

Ideal candidates have prior diesel mechanic experience, own their tools, and hold a valid driver’s license (CDL A preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior hands-on experience with heavy-duty trucks and diesel equipment.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and share knowledge.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks and equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Pick up parts from local vendors and transport tools as needed.
• Assist with welding and fabrication tasks.
• Test drive vehicles to ensure repairs are complete and reliable.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, following safety protocols.
• Contribute to the improvement of service processes and documentation.
