Sunroad Automotive in California is seeking a Diesel Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain diesel engines for our fleet of trucks and vehicles. You will diagnose engine issues, perform preventive maintenance, and work with diagnostic tools to ensure optimal performance.

We expect hands-on experience with diesel engines, excellent customer service skills, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements. This role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working on diesel engines.
• Valid Driver’s license and safe driving record; California license within 10 days after hire.
• Ability to lift 30–50 pounds regularly.
• Compliance with federal/state/local regulations and OSHA policies.
• Ability to perform all essential functions.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related components.
• Troubleshoot engine performance issues.
• Replace worn parts such as pistons, rings, bearings, seals, and valves.
• Perform preventative maintenance and tune-ups on diesel engines.
• Use timing lights, compression testers, and scan tools for diagnostics.
• Inspect and test electrical and electronic systems.
• Rebuild engines and components as needed.
• Install and adjust engine components and systems.
• Maintain maintenance and repair records.
• Monitor engine performance parameters and diagnose malfunctions.
• Work with computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
