Job summary

ACTS Fleet Maintenance, Inc. in Knoxville, TN seeks experienced diesel technicians for shop and mobile field service. You will diagnose, repair, and service medium- and heavy-duty trucks, focusing on uptime, safety, and right-first-time fixes.

Ideal candidates have hands-on diesel experience, proficiency with diagnostic software, and an ability to work independently within structured shop processes. CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience as a medium/heavy-duty diesel technician.
• Proficient with diagnostic software and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and follow structured shop processes.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Read fault codes and analyze data on late-model trucks using OEM and aftermarket scan tools.
• Repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, drivelines, and transmissions.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical systems and emissions components.
• Perform preventative maintenance including rigorous DOT inspections.
• Represent ACTS Fleet professionally while diagnosing and repairing equipment on-site.
