Job summary

Bulk Environmental & Industrial in Miami, FL seeks a General Technician to inspect, diagnose and repair diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment, including trucks and trailers. You'll run diagnostic tests, replace engines or transmissions, and test to ensure issues are fixed.

Responsibilities include repairing diesel engines, DPF systems, auto transmissions, hydraulics on heavy equipment, communicating with shop leadership, performing complete vehicle inspections, and maintaining a safe,

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience with diesel engines.
Experience with modern diesel engines, DPF systems, and automatic transmissions.
Experience with hydraulic systems on heavy equipment and trailer systems.
Own basic tools; company provides heavier tools.
Experience with diagnostic tools and software is a plus.
ASE Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs on company owned fleet of diesel engines, DPF systems, and automatic transmissions.
Perform air brake system, differential, and whole axle repairs on company fleet.
Perform repairs to hydraulics systems on heavy equipment and tractor-trailer wet kits on company fleet.
Communicate with shop leadership for repair details and parts requests.
Conduct complete inspections of vehicles at the time any repair is being performed.
Complete all repairs efficiently and safely.
Maintain the work area clean and free of debris or objects.
Follow thoroughly the safety rules and OSHA compliance procedures.
