Job summary

Dustrol, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join the Towanda, KS shop team. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no overnight travel. You will diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment while maintaining DOT safety standards.

Two or more years of diesel/heavy equipment repair experience are preferred. Technical school or diesel certification is a plus but not required. Tools must be provided by the candidate.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of diesel, heavy truck, agricultural, construction equipment, or heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and air brake systems.
• Must provide your own basic mechanic tools for Class 8 truck and trailer repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Repair engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, air systems, and electrical components.
• Repair brakes, steering, suspension, drivelines, and foundation components.
• Diagnose electronic controls and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Inspect equipment to ensure it meets DOT safety standards.
• Complete work orders accurately and communicate repair needs with the Shop Foreman.
• Identify additional repairs or safety concerns before equipment returns to service.
• Assist with repairs on custom-built equipment as needed.
