Job summary

Boss Shop in Salina, Kansas is seeking a Shop Diesel Mechanic/Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of diesel engines and components. You'll work with advanced diagnostic tools, complete work orders, and ensure safety and quality.

This role offers extensive training, opportunities for advancement, steady schedule, and benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, 401K matching, and paid ASE testing. Weekend/on-call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to obtain required ASE, DOT, and other certifications.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, nights, and on-call schedules as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs all preventive maintenance services, tire services, and emergency road service calls.
• Conducts DOT inspections and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Performs service calls, including night and on-call assignments as required.
• Utilizes diagnostic platforms including J-Pro, FleetCross, and OE software to diagnose and repair vehicle systems.
• Completes work orders accurately, documenting labor performed, parts used, and required warranty information.
