Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking qualified Diesel Technicians in Huntley, IL. You will service trucks and engines, overhaul gas/diesel engines, install components, and diagnose vehicle issues to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Must possess a valid driver license with insurability as per company policy.
• Certifications from OEMs (Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins) and ASE are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oils, transmissions and other parts.
• Read job orders and plan work procedures.
• Inspect safety devices and ensure proper operation.
• Lubricate parts and test drive to verify specifications.
• Document warranty parts usage and returns.
• Attend training and stay updated on factory bulletins.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers.
