Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Diesel Technician / Mechanic to service engine products and perform chassis work as needed. The role will begin on day shift and transition to second shift; candidates must be comfortable with both schedules.

You will use diagnostic tools, keep detailed service records, and maintain familiarity with Cummins policies. Apprentice-trained technicians and vocational diploma holders are encouraged; CDL may be required.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained engine technician preferred with related certifications.
• Vocational diploma from a technical institution is desirable.
• Locally valid driving permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop.
• Perform chassis work (brakes, etc.) as well as engine work.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to perform maintenance/repairs.
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
• Pursue ongoing development and certifications on Cummins products.
• Maintain own tools.
