Capital Ford of Lillington is seeking a skilled Automotive Diesel Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, extensive knowledge of diesel engine systems, and a commitment to high-quality repairs.

The role involves diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered vehicles, performing routine maintenance, inspecting transmissions, and collaborating with service advisors to estimate timelines. We offer competitive pay and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems.
• Experience with diesel transmissions, exhaust, and hydraulics.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• ASE Diesel Engines certifications are highly desirable.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new diesel tech.
• Must pass pre-employment background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify diesel engine issues.
• Perform routine maintenance (oil, filters, fluids).
• Inspect, repair, and rebuild transmissions in diesel vehicles.
• Repair exhaust components including mufflers and catalytic converters.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems in diesel vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Communicate repair options and timelines with Service Advisors.
• Follow safety protocols and dealership procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
