Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced technician to diagnose and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment in our Gardena, CA shop. You will run tests, analyze results, and replace engines, steering, transmissions, and braking systems to keep fleets operating safely and efficiently.

You will also perform preventive maintenance, monitor lighting and instrumentation, and maintain thorough service records.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components.
• Good IT and diagnostic skills; physically fit, capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools; attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills; strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Run diagnostic tests on vehicles.
• Analyze diagnostic test results.
• Replace engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
• Check vehicle lighting systems.
• Test drive vehicles to gauge performance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on service trucks.
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
• Adhere to an inspection procedure checklist.
• Maintain a parts inventory.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the shop.
• Agile decision making on other equipment (Top Handler, Forklift, Yard Spotter, service van, etc.)
