Job summary

Frisco CDJR is seeking an Experienced Diesel Technician to join our team in Frisco, TX. You will diagnose and repair vehicles, perform multi-point inspections, and communicate with customers and Service Advisors about additional work and estimated repair times.

Qualifications

• Diesel Engine Certified.
• ASE Certification or Graduated from an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair.
• At least two years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Must have basic tools.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Make accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle.
• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drives vehicles and tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and schools to continuously expand your knowledge of new technology.
• Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
