Job summary

Atlas Bobcat is seeking full-time Diesel Technicians to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Bobcat compact construction equipment in the Chicagoland area. You will perform preventative maintenance, test repairs, and stay current with product knowledge while working in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• General mechanical knowledge and experience; hydraulics/electrical/drive systems preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining equipment in construction, industrial, automotive, or related industries.
• Strong communications skills.
• Willingness to learn and be trained.
• The ability to manage time and attendance. You must be dependable, self-motivated and be able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues on Bobcat compact construction equipment using manufacturer diagnostic software and tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
• Complete service repair assignments in timely manner.
• Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation and performance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products sold and serviced by Atlas Bobcat.
• Keep the Service Lead informed of current and potential issues related to service repairs, parts requirements, and customer concerns.
• Maintain an inventory of necessary and customary technician tools in good working condition.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all company and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
