Job summary

Leppo Rents in Perry, OH seeks a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair compact equipment, and to keep rental fleets ready for work. You will perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic repairs and driveDiagnostics to quickly find issues.

We offer a bi-annual tool allowance, quarterly bonuses, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability and a 401(k) with match. Schedule is Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience on compact construction equipment or willingness to learn.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving mindset.
• Customer-focused attitude and teamwork to support busy shop.
• Ability to work Monday–Friday with standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel equipment including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain rental fleet with routine service and diagnostics.
• Run computer-based diagnostics and document repairs/work orders.
• Collaborate with team to keep shop efficient.

Technicians at Leppo can earn $20-$35+/hr based on skill + bi-annual tool allowance + quarterly bonuses

What You’ll Work On

• Diagnosing and repairing compact equipment: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Keeping the rental fleet ready to work with routine maintenance
• Running computer-based diagnostics to find the problem fast
• Documenting repairs and managing work orders
