Casella Waste Services is seeking a Diesel Technician Apprentice for the 2nd shift to learn alongside skilled technicians, perform preventive maintenance, and help keep our fleet safe and reliable.

The role provides hands-on maintenance on vehicles and equipment, focusing on preventative care and safety, with training toward technician progression and opportunities to develop diagnostic and repair skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic parts, processes and maintenance techniques as instructed.
• Complete work orders and perform maintenance tasks based on inspections.
• Follow safety policies to ensure safe operations.
• Assist senior technicians on preventative Maintenance Inspections and larger projects.
• Identify defects affecting equipment availability and operator safety.
