Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops in Nebraska offers a Diesel Apprentice program designed for entry-level applicants. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, assist customers and drivers, and learn diagnostics and repairs with hands-on coaching.

The program emphasizes safety, adaptability, and teamwork, with tuition assistance and real growth into skilled technician roles. Training starts soon and includes career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• No professional experience required; willingness to learn and be trained.
• Ability to interact with customers and drivers in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to move and lift 75+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services and basic maintenance tasks.
• Learn preventative maintenance services and diagnostic skills.
• Participate in training to diagnose electrical, air, and braking systems.

Diesel Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clean places with friendly faces. You will interact with customers & drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better. Are you mechanically inclined with no professional experience? No problem!We will teach you!

In the apprentice program, you can expect to learn:

• Electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Air conditioning & heating diagnostics and repairs
• Wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
• Air system diagnostics and repairs
• Air brakes diagnostics and repairs
• Charging system diagnostics and repairs
• Basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement
• Parts lookup and acquisition

Job Functions:

• Assist customers with roadside services
• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
