Job summary

Waste Pro USA in Gulfport, MS is seeking a skilled diesel technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems on heavy and light trucks. Experience with gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems is valued, along with welding or fabrication duties.

You will inspect, diagnose, and repair trucks while adhering to DVIRs, safety rules, and timely paperwork. A strong focus on reliability, ethics, and teamwork drives daily maintenance operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Suspension Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Brake System Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Electrical System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Hydraulic System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Proficient in the use of Diagnostic tools with the ability to interpret and make repairs from Service Manuals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs and maintenance on all equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
• Reviews and completes repairs identified on DVIR and/or repair orders.
• Communicates with managers/drivers as to issues with vehicles and discusses preventive techniques that minimize future repairs.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Conducts repairs utilizing Factory Service Manuals.
• Maintain high standard of Ethics and Dependability.
