Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Springfield, Massachusetts for the second shift (3:00 pm–11:30 pm).

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with weekends off, weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days. Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventative maintenance such as oil changes, brake and tire work.

Aufgaben

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools when applicable.
• Identifies root cause of basic failures and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Performs facility maintenance duties.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of the complaint.
• Utilizes Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Operates in compliance with safety, DOT, MOT and corporate guidelines.
• Performs other support duties as required to support operations.
