Job summary

Planet Group is seeking a Diesel Technician for 1st shift in Indianapolis, IN. Join a stable shop environment maintaining a modern fleet of heavy-duty vehicles with growth opportunities. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools, perform preventative maintenance, and document work.

ASE certifications and CDL are preferred but not required. Competitive hourly pay of $28–$38 with a $2,500 sign-on bonus, weekly pay, uniforms, and ongoing

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working on heavy-duty trucks or similar equipment.
• Ability to perform repairs with minimal supervision in key systems.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment.
• Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, braking, suspension, and driveline components.
• Work on hydraulic and electrical systems, and HVACs as needed.
• Complete preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Conduct welding and light fabrication as needed and maintain service documentation.
