M&K Truck Centers is actively hiring Diesel Technicians to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on new and late-model semi-trucks at our Waukee/Des Moines IA locations. The role welcomes entry-level through experienced technicians, including hands-on training and opportunities for OEM certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Diesel technician school or technical training is preferred but not required
• Experience with semi-truck repair, fleet maintenance, or heavy equipment repair
• CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) – preferred, not required
• Mechanical aptitude and strong work ethic
• Minimum 18 months diesel repair or mechanical experience (preferred, not required for entry‑level roles)
• Ability to work in a shop environment and collaborate with a team
• Must own a basic set of tools

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair on diesel trucks (Mack, Volvo, and other makes)
• Complete preventative maintenance and inspections on heavy-duty trucks
• Repair and service: Brake systems, suspension, electrical, and emissions systems
• Accurately document all repairs, parts, and labor
• Work closely with service advisors and service managers
• Deliver high-quality, efficient repairs while maintaining productivity
• Provide excellent customer‑focused service

• Entry-level / recent tech school graduates
• Mid-level technicians with hands‑on experience
