One of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, looking to hire a skilled Diesel Technician. The Diesel Technician is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium to heavy-duty fleet vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. The role requires proficiency in heavy-duty diesel engine diagnosis and repair, understanding of fleet maintenance operations, electrical systems, preventative maintenance, and DOT inspections.

Compensation & Shift

• Competitive hourly pay - paid weekly (every Friday)
• Shift: Tuesday-Saturday, 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Responsibilities

1. Prepare vehicle records manually and digitally
2. Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty vehicles
3. Conduct safety inspections and document findings
4. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies
5. Inspect and work on vehicle undercarriage parts
6. Handle parts movement and installation
7. Communicate with clients via email and phone
8. Perform additional duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements

1. Minimum 5 years' experience in vehicle maintenance or a diploma in auto/diesel technology
2. Commercial Driver’s License class “A” or “B” preferred
3. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
4. Own tools and toolbox
5. Knowledge of diagnostic scan tools and vehicle diagnosis
6. Proficiency in computer skills: Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, Email
7. Strong communication skills

Working Conditions

• Exposure to traffic, dust, diesel fumes, noise, chemicals, oils, and greases
• Ability to access all vehicle areas and handle heavy objects
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
