Sioux Falls Truck & Trailer is looking to fill our Diesel Technician position.

A Diesel Service Technician must be able to:

1. Diagnose and repair equipment including compactors, excavators, loaders, and other heavy construction equipment.
2. Respond promptly to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
3. Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed.
4. Complete service reports, order parts, and maintain clear customer records.

Qualifications:

1. Two-year technical degree and/or equivalent job experience in the diesel/equipment field.
2. Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems and components, pneumatic, electrical, and fuel systems.
3. Previous experience working on equipment is a plus, but not required.
4. Excellent diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills.
5. Computer, written, and verbal communication skills.
