Job Title: Diesel Technician

Location: Interstate Truck Services, Jeffersonville, Indiana

Overview:

Interstate Truck Services in Jeffersonville, Indiana is looking for a Diesel Tech. COME JOIN A GREAT TEAM!!

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Perform maintenance and repairs such as tune-ups and oil changes, checks tires and brakes, replaces spark plugs, and engages in other similar tasks.
2. Assist mechanic with electrical systems such as replacing batteries, starters, and lights.
3. Clean the shop and return tools to proper location.
4. Maintain inventory of replacement parts and equipment.
5. Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.
6. Update maintenance and repair logs for vehicles.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

1. Knowledge of semi-truck/trailer repair helpful.
2. Excellent mechanical skills.
3. Ability to follow instructions.
4. Ability to use power and hand tools.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to read service and repair manuals.
7. Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion.

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
2. Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
3. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Pay: $22-$28 per hour, based on experience.

Full time, first shift, no weekends. Paid every Friday. Opportunity to advance. Great pay.
