Job summary

Stivers Ford South Union City is seeking an experienced Diesel / Fleet Technician to join our Service Department. The ideal candidate has some professional automotive experience and a desire to grow in diesel, commercial, and fleet vehicle repair.

You will work on Ford Super Duty and fleet vehicles, diagnose engine performance concerns, and perform preventative maintenance to keep our fleet moving. This is a flat-rate shop with opportunities for increased hours and pay based on productivity.

Qualifications

• Some prior professional automotive technician experience is required.
• Diesel experience is preferred, but we can train the right technician.
• Experience with Ford trucks or Super Duty vehicles is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are beneficial.
• Ability to use scan tools and electronic diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered vehicles.
• Perform service and repairs on Ford Super Duty and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engine performance concerns.
• Perform maintenance and repair work on fleet vehicles.
• Perform brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
• Perform diesel fuel system and emissions-system diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles.
• Perform engine, transmission, driveline, and related component repairs.
• Use factory scan tools and diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
• Follow Ford factory repair procedures and dealership processes.
• Properly document diagnostic findings and repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of repair quality.

Stivers Ford South Union City is looking for an experienced Diesel / Fleet Technician to join our growing Service Department!

We are looking for a motivated technician who has some professional automotive experience and wants to build their skills in diesel, commercial, and fleet vehicle repair.

This is a great opportunity for a technician who enjoys working on Ford trucks, Super Duty vehicles, diesel engines, and fleet vehicles and wants to become part of a team with a strong flow of work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Some previous professional automotive technician experience required.

• Diesel experience preferred, but we are willing to develop the right technician.

• Experience with Ford trucks or Super Duty vehicles is a plus.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

• Basic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to use scan tools and electronic diagnostic equipment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
