Job summary

Selking International in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair Class 8 trucks and equipment. This full-time role requires independent troubleshooting, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work with OEM diagnostics.

We offer competitive pay up to $50 per hour, a signing bonus up to $5,000, factory and advanced training, medical/dental/vision, a 401(k) with company match up to 4%, paid time off, and a well‑equipped shop.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a diesel technician in a dealership, fleet, or independent shop.
• Ability to diagnose independently and see a repair through to the finish.
• Valid driver's license (CDL a plus, not required).
• Your own hand tools — we supply the specialty and diagnostic equipment.
• ASE and/or OEM certifications welcome; we'll pay to advance them.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Class 8 trucks and equipment — engine, aftertreatment, electrical, drivetrain, HVAC, brakes
• Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
• Use OEM diagnostic software to troubleshoot and resolve faults efficiently
• Document repairs accurately and communicate clearly with service advisors and customers
• Mentor newer technicians and help build the next generation of our shop
• Keep your bay and the shop clean, organized, and safe
