Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair light mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and assist customers with roadside services. You will operate in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing safety and customer satisfaction while working a rotating day/night schedule. Ability to lift 75+ pounds and obtain a DOT medical card is required.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing light mechanical issues on vehicles and equipment.
• Ability to provide preventative maintenance and routine servicing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues such as wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components.
• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Provide preventative maintenance services.
• Move and lift 75+ pounds; work in varying temperatures.
• Prioritize safety and customer satisfaction per company policies.
• Work a rotating day/night schedule as required.
• Possess ability to obtain a DOT medical card (paid by Love’s).

Job Functions

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components


• Assist customers with roadside services


• Provide preventative maintenance services


• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.


• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.


• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.


• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
