Job summary

Carolina International Trucks, Inc. is looking for a seasoned diesel technician to perform quality repairs and routine maintenance on heavy trucks. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with modern software, document work, and stay safety-focused while prioritizing tasks.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on diesel experience (Level A) and strong knowledge of diesel systems; CDL is preferred or obtainable. Join a stable team with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on diesel repair and maintenance per manufacturer specs.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with diagnostic software.
• Complete preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Accurate documentation of repairs, inspections and work orders.
• Safety-minded, detail-oriented, and dependable.
• 5+ years of hands-on diesel technician experience (Level A).
• CDL preferred or willing to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of diesel diagnostic and repair systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty trucks.
• Diagnose issues and perform repairs using current software.
• Organize and prioritize work to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Complete routine maintenance: oil changes, lubrication, and inspections.
• Road test and perform adjustments as needed.

Job description

• Perform quality repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
• Complete routine maintenance including oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and inspections
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using current diagnostic software
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and correct vehicle deficiencies
• Perform adjustments, alignments, and road tests as needed
• Accurately document all repairs, inspections, and work orders, including state and emissions-related paperwork
• Organize and prioritize work to ensure efficiency, productivity, and safety
• Complete additional projects or duties as assigned by the supervisor
• 5+ years of hands-on diesel technician experience (Level A Technician)
• Strong knowledge of diesel diagnostic and repair systems
• Experience using modern diagnostic software
• CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
• High attention to detail with strong documentation skills
• Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
