Job summary

Carolina International Trucks is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to perform quality repairs and routine maintenance on medium and heavy-duty trucks. You will diagnose issues with modern software, document all work, and prioritize tasks for efficiency and safety.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, safety, and teamwork, with opportunities for ongoing training and advancement across six SC locations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on diesel technician experience.
  • A Level Technician
  • Strong knowledge of diesel diagnostic and repair systems.
  • Experience using modern diagnostic software.
  • CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation skills
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
  • Complete routine maintenance including oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and inspections
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using current diagnostic software
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and correct vehicle deficiencies
  • Perform adjustments, alignments, and road tests as needed
  • Accurately document all repairs, inspections, and work orders, including state and emissions-related paperwork
  • Organize and prioritize work to ensure efficiency, productivity, and safety
  • Complete additional projects or duties as assigned by the supervisor
