Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair light mechanical issues at our Clayton, MO location. You will help customers and drivers, perform preventative maintenance, and follow safety policies to ensure reliable service.

This position requires physical ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in varied temperatures, with a rotating day/night schedule and DOT medical card eligibility supported by Love’s.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components.
• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Provide preventative maintenance services.
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds in close quarters.
• Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Rotate between day and night shifts as needed.
• Obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s).

Job Functions

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine componentsAssist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters.
• Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
