Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops is hiring a Diesel Technician to keep our trucks and facilities running smoothly in a fast‑paced environment. You will diagnose and repair mechanical systems, assist drivers, and ensure safe, reliable service for our customers.

This role emphasizes safety, physical capability to lift 75+ pounds, and a rotating schedule. Love’s offers tuition assistance, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, and a path for career development within a nationwide network.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues (wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components)
• Assist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Move and lift 75+ pounds; work in close quarters; tolerate varying temperatures
• Prioritize safety and customer satisfaction per company policies
• Work a rotating day/night schedule
• Possibility to obtain a DOT medical card, paid by Love’s

Job Functions

Welcome to Love’s! Diesel Technicians work in a fast‑paced environment and maintain clean places with friendly faces. You will interact with customers & drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better.

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel‑end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
• Assist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
