Ziegler invites students to join the internship program to gain hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing diesel and heavy equipment. You will be mentored by senior technicians in a shop setting, developing practical mechanical skills while supporting customer needs.

The internship emphasizes teamwork, safety, and real-world learning, with a starting wage of $21.00 per hour in Minnesota. A scholarship and professional development opportunities are highlighted in the program.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 2-year degree program in diesel engine mechanics, construction and/or agricultural equipment mechanics or related study.
• Maintain good grades.
• Receive positive recommendations from instructors.
• Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player.
• Own mechanic tool set.
• Ability to maintain safe and clean work environment.
• This role is deemed safety-senstive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines, construction or agricultural equipment in a shop environment.
• Learn to respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
• Work with senior technicians to diagnose and repair equipment.
