Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking qualified instructors to join a pool for TERM INSTRUCTOR - DIESEL assignments. The role involves teaching Diesel Technology courses, including online or dual‑credit offerings, across multiple times and locations as needed.

Instructors must hold an Associate’s degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent, with 3 years of field experience, or a High School Diploma with 8 years of Diesel experience. Office hours and student advising are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Diesel Technology is required.
• Three (3) years of work experience in the Diesel field are required.
• Alternatively, a High School Diploma and 8 years of Diesel field experience are acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses per regular semester, including online or dual-credit classes.
• Provide clear syllabi and maintain office hours for student conferences.
• Evaluate student progress and assist with academic advising and program marketing.
• Participate in department goals and professional development as needed.
