Qualifications

• Associate degree with nine semester credit hours or 12 quarter hours in the subject area and two years of related experience in the last ten years.
• Associate degree plus three years of related experience within the last ten years.
• Completion of a 900+ clock-hour program.
• Secondary education with a certificate for a 900 clock-hour program and four years of related experience.
• Secondary education with five years of related experience within the last ten years.
• Teaching experience preferred at the post-secondary level.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of students and coworkers and maintain orderly learning environments.
• Prepare daily lesson material and ensure students have necessary materials and equipment.
• Deliver instructional training and promote class participation and group work.
• Organize and supervise lab/shop projects and ensure materials are ready.
• Identify at-risk students and coordinate tutoring and retention efforts.
• Pursue continuing education and keep curriculum up to date with industry needs.
• Maintain classroom management and enforce school policies.
• Communicate effectively with students and coworkers and resolve conflicts.
