Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician II in Cincinnati, OH. You will conduct preventive maintenance and major/minor repairs on a diverse fleet, diagnose issues during road tests, and mentor newer technicians while expanding your own skills.

Expect to work with Penske’s advanced maintenance tools and participate in focused technician training to stay current with OEM equipment and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosing/troubleshooting major components; ASE Certification and 608/609 certs preferred.
• Experienced using diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and adhere to Penske safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials and related systems.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools and technologies for logging and completing repairs.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
