Job summary

Cummins is seeking a talented Diesel Technician in Charlotte, NC to perform troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds on engine products and related equipment in a service shop. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance and diagnostic work using onboard computers and software.

You will follow documented procedures, manage parts and tooling, and complete necessary paperwork. Ongoing training and certifications will be provided to stay current with Cummins products and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Complete troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on engine products and other customer equipment in a service shop.
• Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines, including utilizing computers/software in the process of diagnostic work.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, clean and reassemble engines and engine components.
• Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs and identify required parts and tools.
• Complete required documentation such as work completed documents and time sheets.
