Job summary

Hogan Transportation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in Columbus, OH to diagnose, repair, and maintain Hogan tractor and truck equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, replacements, and road tests to ensure safety and reliability.

This role requires high school or GED, strong hand and power tool skills, welding knowledge, and a team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED.
• In-depth knowledge of hand, air and power tools required for this industry.
• Basic understanding of welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting procedures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of truck/trailer repair.
• Extensive diagnostic and repair knowledge.
• Clean MVR and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides preventive maintenance and DOT Inspection following procedures.
• Diagnoses and repairs tractors and trucks using established policies and tools.
• Identifies parts and systems for repair and replaces as needed.
• Removes broken parts and replaces with new or reconditioned parts.
• Road tests vehicles to diagnose issues and ensure safe operation.
• Uses hydraulic jacks to raise equipment.
• Other duties as required.

Job Summary

Provides required maintenance, including diagnosis and repair for Hogan tractor and truck equipment. Includes the removal, replacement and repair of any an all components of the tractor or truck.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides preventive maintenance and DOT Inspection using the correct procedures and guidelines.
• Diagnoses and repairs tractors and trucks using well-established policies and procedures, as well as hand and power tools; this includes, but is not limited to, various types of braking systems (hydraulic, air, disc), electrical systems, clutches, air conditioning and heating systems and instruments and gauges, steering mechanisms, wheels, tires, batteries.
• Identifies parts and/or systems for repair; repairs or replaces, as appropriate.
• Removes broken parts and replaces with new or reconditioned parts.
• Road tests vehicles to diagnosis issues and ensure a safe operating vehicle.
• Uses hydraulic jacks to raise equipment.
• Other duties as required.
