Job summary

Boss Shop, operated by Bosselman, Inc., is hiring a Shop Diesel Mechanic/Technician to perform a full range of diesel repairs, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. The role requires DOT and HVAC certifications, ASE credentials, and a commitment to safety and quality service for customers.

You will diagnose and repair engines, fuel, exhaust, electrical, and HVAC systems, conduct DOT inspections, and utilize diagnostic tools. Training pathways and benefits are offered to support growth.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold Air Brake Certification.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• ASE certifications in Diesel Engines, Brakes, Suspension & Steering, Electrical/Electronic Systems, and Heating, Ventilation & A/C are preferred.
• 609 HVAC certification required for HVAC service.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance, tire services, and emergency road service calls.
• Conducts DOT inspections and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Performs service calls, including night and on-call assignments.
• Diagnoses vehicle systems using J-Pro, FleetCross, and OE software.
• Completes work orders with labor, parts, and warranty details.
• Performs advanced engine, fuel, and oil system repairs and driveline work.
• Handles emissions system diagnostics and repairs (DPF, EGR, sensors).
• Maintains shop cleanliness and safety procedures, including OSHA requirements.
• Provides friendly, professional customer service at all times.
