Job summary

Stribling Equipment, LLC is seeking a Shop Technician I for a full-time, shop-based role in Mississippi. You will support experienced technicians with diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain service on John Deere equipment while performing routine PMs and inspections.

A clean, safe workspace and ongoing training are provided. Qualifications include completion of diesel technology training or hands-on experience, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel for training if needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a diesel technology, heavy equipment technology, or closely related technical training program OR qualifying hands-on diesel or heavy equipment service experience.
• Candidates with up to 2 years of related hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR as per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, lubrication, fluid and filter changes, and basic equipment inspections following service instructions.
• Assist experienced technicians with diesel engine, hydraulic, hydrostatic, electrical, powertrain, and undercarriage service and repairs.
• Use hand tools and basic measuring instruments; assist with removal and installation of smaller components.
• Identify wear, leaks, damage, and service needs; communicate findings to supervising technician.
• Prepare accurate service reports and post labor time, parts, and supplies to work orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; participate in training and certifications as required.

We sell and service new and used construction, compaction, forestry, and concrete equipment, backed by rental options, training programs, and a full range of parts and service support.We’re seeking a motivated Shop Technician I for a full-time, shop-based role. This position is designed for candidates who have completed diesel or heavy equipment technical training or gained relevant hands-on service experience and are ready to develop their skills alongside experienced technicians.What You’ll Do:Perform routine preventive maintenance, lubrication, fluid and filter changes, and basic equipment inspections following service instructions.Assist experienced technicians with diesel engine, hydraulic, hydrostatic, electrical, powertrain, and undercarriage service and repairs.Use required hand tools and basic measuring instruments safely; assist with removal and installation of smaller components such as pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, starters, and alternators under appropriate guidance.Help identify wear, leaks, damage, and service needs, and communicate findings to the supervising technician.Use John Deere parts information and PMPro for basic parts ordering tasks and navigate Service Advisor for service information as trained.Prepare accurate service reports and post labor time, parts, and supplies to work orders.Assist with safe use of chains, slings, hoists, floor jacks, and equipment blocking in accordance with training and shop procedures.Maintain tools and a clean, organized work area; complete assigned John Deere DLM classes and technical training.Other duties as assigned.What You’ll Need:Completion of a diesel technology, heavy equipment technology, or closely related technical training program OR qualifying hands-on diesel or heavy equipment service experience required. Applicants must have relevant training or practical experience.Candidates with up to 2 years of related hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.
