Job summary

Allied Reliability is seeking a skilled Working Shop Supervisor-Heavy Duty Mechanic to lead and support our team of diesel technicians in the truck shop. This role combines supervising daily operations with hands-on mechanical work on heavy duty trucks and equipment.

Ideal candidates will have certified heavy duty mechanical skills, supervisory experience, CDL, and a Class 7 inspection license to ensure safe, efficient maintenance and repair operations.

Qualifications

• Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic (Trade Cert or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a supervisory or lead technician role.
• Strong Mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid Drivers License with CDL.
• Possession of a Class 7 State Inspection License.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities in the truck shop.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, heavy duty vehicles, and related equipment.
• Ensure timely and high-quality completion of maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of service, parts usage, and labor.
• Enforce workshop safety procedures and compliance standards.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding shop performace, needs, and priorities.
• Manage inventory levels and place orders for parts and supplies as needed.
