Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group. We are hiring a Diesel Service Technician/Mechanic to perform heavy-duty mechanical repair under supervision, with on-the-job training to achieve Service Journeyman status.

CDL preferred and certifications required for A/C, Brake, and DOT annual inspection. The role includes troubleshooting, engine overhaul work, and ongoing maintenance while upholding safety and tool discipline.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs and/or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience by working on engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely, and seeks assistance when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic. The role performs heavy-duty mechanical repair under general supervision, with on-the-job training in a development program to achieve Service Journeyman status.

• Performs and/or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience by working on engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Works on major components with close supervision.
• Performs troubleshooting on minor problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely, and seeks assistance when necessary.
