Rush Truck Centers in Memphis, TN is seeking a Diesel Service Technician to provide service to customers, perform diagnostics and repairs on trucks and engines, and ensure safety and quality in every job.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician, a valid driver license, and CDL/Medical card per FMVSS preferred. Comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Must have a current and valid driver license with insurability.
• CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Read job order and observe vehicle operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Examine guards, bolts and safety devices and make adjustments as needed.
• Tag warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and stay updated with factory bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
