JX Enterprises, Inc. seeks a Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic in Rockford, IL to keep customer fleets moving.

You will diagnose, repair and overhaul diesel engines and powertrain components while delivering top-notch service in a fast-paced shop environment. The role requires a diesel-focused technical education and about four years of hands-on experience; preferred credentials include a state or federal A/C certification and CDL.

Qualifications

• Typically four (4) years of experience and completion of a diesel-focused technical school program.
• A valid state or Federal A/C certification and CDL are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on customer vehicles, lease units and company inventory.
• Diagnose, disassemble, clean and inspect engines.
• Diagnose, disassemble, clean, overhaul, repair and adjust drivetrain and power systems.
• Submit and complete technical reports and documentation.
• Troubleshoot fault codes and check engine lights.
• Collaborate with team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers and coworkers.
• Participate in training to expand technical abilities and complete mandated training.
