JX Enterprises, Inc. in Wausau, WI, seeks a Service Technician to support the Northwoods region. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role runs Monday through Friday, 3:30pm to Midnight. A 15% shift premium is paid for after-hours and weekend work, with opportunities to grow within a family-owned, veteran-led company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior automotive repair or heavy-duty truck maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred, or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests to assess maintenance needs.
• Test engine, safety, and combustion control standards to meet federal/state requirements.
• Repair or replace major assemblies and components, applying practical problem-solving skills.
• Evaluate service and parts options to manage costs and find effective solutions.
• Perform winterization procedures and monitor corrosion to extend vehicle life.
• Maintain clear vehicle records of services and repairs for transparency.
