Job summary

Barnhill Contracting Company in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Serviceman to operate a service truck and perform maintenance on heavy diesel equipment and trucks on the job site.

The role includes daily fueling, fluid checks, preventative maintenance, and basic diagnostics, with opportunities to grow in a safety-driven, team-oriented environment. CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, 21+ years old, and a valid Medical card are required; a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• 2 years automotive or diesel experience preferred.
• Must have CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements.
• Valid Medical card and must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to abide by safety rules and work in a team.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and tool knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate a service truck on designated construction areas and perform maintenance on diesel equipment/trucks.
• Perform diagnostic and repair work as needed.
• Keep radiators clean and check cooling system antifreeze levels.
• Maintain and top off fluids; perform preventative maintenance and oil/filter changes as scheduled.
