Job summary

The Springfield, Missouri Western Star dealership is seeking a Heavy-Duty Technician to join a dependable, skilled team. You will perform vehicle repair and preventive maintenance, following manufacturer standards, with emphasis on quality and safety.

Ideal candidates have certifications (Cummins, Detroit Diesel and/or ASE Heavy Duty) and at least three years of truck dealership experience; Freightliner familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Certifications in Cummins, Detroit Diesel and/or Heavy-Duty are strongly preferred.
• Minimum of three years truck dealership experience.
• Freightliner experience is helpful but not required.
• Flat rate/commission experience preferred.
• CDL license preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Own necessary basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with company and manufacturer standards.
• Adhere to dealership policies and safety protocols.
• Provide high level of customer service daily.

An opportunity for a Service Technician currently exists in our Springfield, Missouri Western Star dealership. The focus of this position will be to perform vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with company and manufacturer standards. Detroit, Cummins, and/or ASE Heavy Duty certifications preferred with a minimum of three years truck dealership experience required.
