Job summary

Moon Valley Nurseries seeks a Diesel Service Mechanic to service equipment and vehicles across MVN stores and farms. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and electrical systems, while ordering parts and maintaining logs.

The role requires three+ years of relevant experience, ability to operate heavy equipment, and a valid driver’s license. DOT compliance and safety rules apply.

Qualifications

• Three+ years experience diagnosing and repairing vehicle, construction equipment, diesel systems, and electrical diagnostics.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and farm implements.
• Experience with acetylene and electric arc welding is a plus.
• Certifications or training through manufacturer courses (Bobcat, Case, Kubota, Deere & ASE) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain MVN vehicles and motorized equipment safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Prepare machinery for scheduled production runs and maintain service records.
• Lead as acting supervisor in absence of the supervisor.
• Review service schedules for yard equipment and delivery trucks.
