Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is seeking a Diesel Service Apprentice / Mechanic Intern for a part-time internship while attending technical school. You will perform light maintenance and routine service under supervision to develop skills and demonstrate competency.

The program emphasizes on-the-job training, safety, and the opportunity to progress within the company as you gain experience and complete your school program.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• ACT and/or Compass test scores.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned job functions under close supervision of a Foreman, Leadman, Supervisor or designated competent fellow employee.
• Gains work related knowledge and experience through on-the-job training and tech school program.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area and properly handles company tools and equipment.
• Abides by all company and school policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
