UTI Trade School is seeking a Diesel Powertrain Instructional Specialist to teach modern diesel theory and hands-on labs, guiding students through diagnosis, maintenance and repair of heavy‑duty engines.

You will collaborate on curriculum updates to reflect current industry trends, mentor students on projects, and promote safety across all activities. Weekend-free schedule and comprehensive benefits support your teaching career.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 4 years of hands-on diesel/heavy-truck mechanic experience.
• ASE certifications are highly valued.
• Clear, patient communication and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach modern diesel theory and practice in a classroom and labs.
• Lead hands-on labs covering diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty engines.
• Collaborate on curriculum updates to reflect current industry trends.
• Mentor students through projects, fostering critical thinking and problem solving.
