Job summary

Estes Express Lines seeks a skilled technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts. You will inspect, diagnose, repair or replace parts, test performance, and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulations.

Strong problem solving and safety focus are essential. You must have a high school diploma or GED, be 17+, and bring hands-on experience or trade schooling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Minimum one year experience and/or completion of trade school; or equivalent education/experience.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Knowledge of general repairs and PM criteria.
• Heavy truck repairs experience including diesel engine diagnostics.
• Able to adapt to evolving technology and updates.
• Mechanical ability and interest in engines/electronics.
• Must be physically able to lift 70 lbs and work in awkward positions.
• CDL and acceptable MVR required for driving; FMCSA Clearinghouse registration if CDL.
• Able to read and follow safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication; organized and self-starting.
• Willing to work any shift, including nights/weekends in varied weather.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check; authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts.
• Inspect and diagnose equipment; interpret work orders and manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts and test to ensure compliance with specs.
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare required safety documents.
• Maintain readiness for high-volume workload and meet deadlines.
